Bank of the Sierra Announces $4 Million Sierra Grant Donation Milestone,
Awarded $325K to Nonprofits During Second Half of 2023
Community bank’s Sierra Grant Program provides funding to 45 nonprofits
Porterville, Calif. – Bank of the Sierra is proud to announce that it has donated more than $4
million to nonprofit organizations in its communities through its Sierra Grant Program. Since the
program’s inception in 2004, more than 1,700 grants have been awarded. Bank of the Sierra
awards grants to 10-30 nonprofit organizations each quarter as part of the program.
During the second half of last year, Bank of the Sierra donated $325,000 to nonprofits in its
communities through its Sierra Grant program. From July to December 2023, Bank of the Sierra
awarded a total of $213,000 in grants to 28 Central Valley nonprofits, $98,500 to 14 nonprofits
in the Bank’s Coastal and Southern California footprint, and $13,500 to three nonprofits that
offer services in both regions. In total during 2023, Bank of the Sierra awarded $600,000 to
nonprofits throughout the communities it serves.
