Since opening its doors in 1998, Pizza Factory has become a beloved fixture in Porterville, providing more than just great food. Since 2007, Chris and Michelle Nursery, along with partners Scott and Shanell Gammon, have evolved Pizza Factory into a hub for community connection and support, enriching the lives of residents for over eighteen (18) years. Their diverse menu features a delicious selection of food including pizza, pasta, and salads.
One of Pizza Factory’s standout contributions to the local economy is its focus on job creation. Currently employing twenty-two (22) high school and college students, the restaurant provides many young people with their first job, offering them the chance to earn an income while gaining valuable work experience. The mentorship environment at Pizza Factory allows seasoned staff to guide these young employees, fostering personal and professional growth within the team.
In addition to creating job opportunities, Pizza Factory plays a vital role in community engagement by providing a welcoming venue for various local events. With a spacious meeting room and an array of arcade games, the restaurant has become a go-to spot for hosting meetings, parties, and celebrations.
Pizza Factory also works closely with local schools, churches, local sports teams and non-profits by offering discounts for events, fundraisers, hosting fundraising events, providing pizza and direct donations to support the various organizations; further demonstrating their commitment to helping those in need.
